Digital ACE – YouTube Tutorials
A series of training sessions was developed and run to support providers in developing their digital capability and enhance their offer.
The majority of these training sessions were subsequently recorded as YouTube tutorials.

Digital ACE – Best Practice sesssions – YouTube tutorials
As part of the legacy to the Digital ACE project, we ran a series of best practice sessions on various elements of digital teaching. The live sessions were not recorded, but tutors created YouTube tutorials to accompany the sessions and widen our reach. The sessions are below, with additional sessions still to be uploaded once they are available.

Getting started with Microsoft OneNote
Golda Mendoza talks us through using Microsoft OneNote; a digital notebook which lets you record audio/video, embed videos, insert files, draw with digital ink and more. The app is free to all users, even without owning a Microsoft licence.
Connectivity/Compatibility
Eduardo Saldana talks about connectivity/compatibility of technology in terms of teaching adult learners remotely. The session considers the terminology, what it means for you as a service and for your learners and how to assist your staff in this area.
Communicating with Students & Staff
Jo Loss talks about the use of technology to communicate with students and staff considering a) why appropriate communication is important, b) challenges keeping up with communications and c) best practice in this area.

Jo Loss talks about using blended learning for ACE courses. The session considers what we mean by blended learning and the different models, why we should use this approach and considers some tips and tools.
Setting up a Helpline
Eduardo Saldana talks us through the process of setting up a helpline. The session considers what a helpline is and what this means to your service. It also looks at what help your learners need, what method of helpline might best suit your learners and what boundaries might be required in order for a helpline to be effective.

The session explores practical ways to use Google Workspace to deliver online teaching, covering Google Workspace components/tools and how they can be used for teaching and learning both online and in the classroom.
Online Teaching – Using the educational version of Microsoft Teams – Introduction for beginners
Esam Baboukhan talks us through the use of the educational version of Microsoft Teams for teaching adult learners. This session is aimed at beginners who are not very familiar with this platform. Note that this is a recording of a live session and therefore is slightly different as compared to the other sessions in this series which were recorded specifically as YouTube tutorials.
