HOLEX is leading on the development of a guidance document on Tailored Learning, undertaken at the recommendation of the DFE. The draft guidance document is available here.
We have issued a consultation survey – available here – on the use and effectiveness of the document. Responses to the survey should be submitted by 10th June 2024.
We are collaborating with stakeholders from all sectors to complete this initiative, and we welcome responses to the survey from all those who will be offering Tailored Learning.
The draft guidance document has been developed by the adult community education sector with the support of the Association of Colleges (AoC), Mayoral Combined Authorities (MCAs), Greater London Authority (GLA) and Department for Education (DfE).
This guidance will be for all learning organisations who are in receipt of Tailored learning funding from the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) or MCA/GLA. Although there may be variations in some MCA areas, the principles are still pertinent to all adult education and skills provision.
It is important to note that, whilst we cannot change the definitions of the outcomes, we can expand upon the example statements with a view to making the final document as useful as possible.
